You will find that Scar therapy massage treatments range in cost depending on the provider but it is certainly more cost-effective than more invasive cosmetic treatments for scars that can run upwards of £3000
You'll need a minimum of 6 sessions to see the best results and scar therapy sessions cost £70 each, discounts are available for block bookings.
Your therapist may also recommend specialist scar creams and dressings to improve the visual appearance of your scar. Scar creams and gels can range in price, but good creams can be found for around £20.
Specialist scar dressings tend to be more expensive, expect to pay upwards of £50-£100

Scar therapy uses specific massage techniques to gently reduce scar sensitivity and permanently remove adhesions under the scar that can cause tightness, pain and reduce your range of movement.
Whilst it does not 'break up' scar tissue, it can greatly reduce any discomfort that you feel and can also improve the appearance of scar tissue.
Scar therapy is a specialist treatment carried out by trained individuals. Always check that your therapist is specifically trained in Scar therapy.
You will need to wait at least 6 weeks before treatment for new scars and adhesions, for deep or abdominal/visceral scars, you will need to wait much longer.
You'll also need consent from your surgeon or doctor before starting any scar massage treatment.
However, scar care and prevention is incredibly important, feel free to reach out straight away for advice on minimising scarring through the healing process.
For instance, It is strongly recommended to hydrate your wound once it has scabbed with a suitable scar cream, I can offer you advice on clinically proven and recommended creams and gels.
